Job Description

Blue Raster is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst with strong programming skills and a passion for delivering impactful GIS projects. The role involves analyzing spatial data, developing modern web GIS applications, supporting client projects, and contributing to a collaborative technical environment.

Qualification

Key responsibilities:
- Architect Python-based data pipelines for automation, cleaning, transformation, and analysis of geospatial datasets.
- Develop ArcGIS Online Hosted Notebooks, ArcGIS Pro Python Toolboxes, and ArcGIS Geoprocessing services.
- Lead database architecture decisions for enterprise relational and spatial systems.
- Develop production-quality code using professional development standards, Git, and GitHub.
- Perform quality assurance and debugging of geospatial data, scripts, and services.
- Conduct client demonstrations and presentations.
- Collaborate with clients to define requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Serve as technical lead on selected engagements.
- Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge sharing.

Required skills and qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional GIS experience.
- Advanced proficiency with the Esri stack, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Strong Python 3.x development experience with ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, NumPy, and Pandas.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
