Job Description
Arcadis is a global design, engineering and consultancy organisation delivering sustainable solutions for natural and built assets. The Graduate Consultant – Geoenvironmental and Geotechnical will join the UK Operations team in India and support environmental, geotechnical and multidisciplinary consulting projects.
Qualification
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment reports, ground investigation summaries and technical deliverables.
- Collate, review and tabulate environmental, geological, hydrogeological and geotechnical data.
- Process and present intrusive site investigation records, including borehole logs, laboratory data and field observations.
- Prepare figures, drawings, plans and basic spatial outputs using GIS/CAD tools.
- Contribute to report writing, data interpretation, technical notes, schedules, charts and project documentation.
- Collaborate with environmental consultants, geotechnical engineers, planners, designers and project managers.
- Maintain project records, data management systems, task trackers and quality documentation.
- Complete assigned tasks within agreed deadlines, budgets and Arcadis quality, health, safety and business management requirements.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of environmental site assessment, ground investigation, soil and groundwater data, or geotechnical principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Interest in data management, GIS, CAD, Power BI or digital tools is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage tasks to agreed deadlines.
- Curiosity, enthusiasm and a proactive approach to learning.
