Job Description

Qualification

Master's degree in GIS, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Data Science, or a related field. GIS certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage GIS databases.
- Perform spatial analysis and mapping.
- Prepare climate risk, vulnerability, and land-use maps.
- Integrate remote sensing and geospatial datasets.
- Develop Web-GIS dashboards and decision-support tools.
- Analyze demographic, infrastructure, and environmental datasets.
- Support emissions and climate analytics.
- Establish data quality standards.
- Develop metadata and data governance protocols.
- Produce thematic maps and visualizations.
- Support scenario modelling and forecasting.
- Train government officials on GIS applications.
- Coordinate with sector specialists.
- Prepare technical reports and spatial outputs.
- Support monitoring dashboards.
