Job Description

MPI Recruitment is seeking an Underground Geologist for a well-established gold mining operation in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. This residential opportunity offers an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, with 11-hour working days, providing underground production geology experience and a family-friendly work schedule.

Qualification

Tertiary qualification in Geology
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geological interpretation to support underground mining operations.
- Perform underground and drill-core sampling.
- Manage production geology data and support production activities.
- Apply sampling quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
- Work closely with mining and drilling crews to support safe and efficient underground production.
- Supervise contractors and contribute to operational performance.
- Use geological software, including Datamine, Leapfrog, and Acquire.

Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Geology.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the resources industry.
- Underground mining and/or gold mining experience is highly regarded.
- Strong geological interpretation, sampling, and QA/QC skills.
- Current unrestricted Western Australian C-class manual driver's licence.
- Must reside in the Goldfields or be willing to relocate.

Additional Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be currently in Australia and either Australian permanent residents or hold the necessary permits to work in Australia. MPI Recruitment can only consider candidates with appropriate and relevant experience.
