Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Junior Geologist to support gold exploration activities at Tijirit. This full-time, field-based position is suitable for geology and Earth Science graduates interested in mineral exploration and developing practical field geology skills.

Qualification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geological mapping and structural measurements.
- Perform soil, rock-chip, and trench sampling.
- Supervise drilling activities and carry out core logging.
- Manage quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) and sample handling.
- Use GPS, a Brunton compass, GIS, and Excel for field activities.
- Prepare field reports and maintain geological databases.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
- 0–3 years of experience.
- Exploration internships or field experience are advantageous.
- Familiarity with geological mapping, sampling, drilling supervision, and core logging.
- Knowledge of GPS, Brunton compass, GIS, and Excel.
